A convenient 20 minute drive from Gatwick Airport, the Brambletye Hotel lies right in the heart of Forest Row village. Forest Row is ideal for the weekend leisure guest, romantic couple escape, business stayover or even historian on a discovery trail; Sussex has it all! Forest Row village is very much a quiet, relaxing and friendly place, with plenty of boutique shopping available, weekly village events and a variety of cuisine options. Our pretty little village sits right on the edge of the Ashdown Forest; an area of outstanding natural beauty, which provides a unique habitat for a wide range of rare plants, birds and wildlife

However, Ashdown Forest is more famously known to you and me as the Hundred Acre Wood and is home to none other than Winnie the Pooh and his friends. The neighbouring village of Hartfield is home to ‘Pooh Corner’; a café and gift shop where you can also pick up a walking trail map of  the Hundred Acre Wood to go on your own little adventure to find Pooh Bridge, Kanga and Roo’s Sand Pit, Owls house and the infamous North Pole! Lovely easy walks for all the family with an added pinch of magic.

We are also in a great location for a range of sporting venues. There are a few excellent race courses within a 20 mile radius, a couple of examples of these are Lingfield and Plumpton and if you’re coming down for Saturday Race Day, why not join us for our Live Band night back at the hotel following the races to end your day with a party?!

For example: The Kingscote Estate in East Grinstead, Bluebell Vineyard in Uckfield or Bolney Wine Estate in Haywards Heath.

For Steam Train enthusiasts, Forest Row boasts being in the heart of Steam Train County! There are at least 4 major steam train lines for you to choose from within a 20 mile radius, but we have a soft spot for the wonderful Bluebell Railway which sets off from our neighbouring town of East Grinstead.
